I think it was 1972. Rene was a partner in our first ... woodworking enterprise, "WOODLORD". We worked in the old warehouse upstairs in a rented space there---across from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. He amazed me with his meticulous and spirited execution of each piece he created. The unabashed grin here brought back so many memories. Thanks, Keith.morelessDelete
I went into Renes shop the other day and there were many ... of his pink flamingo tables all standing on top of his work table together. and i remembered this video..I really wonder if he laughed like I did the day he set them up there.morelessDelete
Ok.....loved that song so much and the joy of the video I ... had to buy the CD! I just keep envisioning all of us flocking together with Rene, moving as one forever. "Latin Dreams", two kids from Columbia who look like they are 16 put the CD out a few years ago and it is GREAT! Thanks again.morelessDelete
Now there is Rene as I have never seen him.....with that curling ... mustache! He looks totally different! Thanks for the smile. Oh, God, how I love and will miss that smile.morelessDelete

Documentary about the Ron. K. Bills Fountain at Miller Community Center in ... Seattle. The fountain was built and funded by volunteers, with the aid of the City of Seattle's Neighborhood Matching Fund, by the Miller Park Neighborhood Association, to honor Ron Bills. Video was produced by Sidney Beaumont of Negprof Films, who gave me permission to upload this. René is featured throughout the film, which captures and preserves much of what was unique about René.morelessDelete
