Mobile Engineer position available with 1000Memories, Inc. in San Francisco, CA. Design and develop mobile software for photo-scanning application on iPhone and Android phones. Responsibilities include: building products for the mobile ecosystem; developing and directing software system test and validation procedures; using a dynamic programming language in a production environment utilizing Ruby-on-Rails in a production environment; scaling high traffic website storing, retrieving, and manipulating data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements; and modifying existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus two 2 years of experience in job offered. Professional and/or academic experience must include scanning software for mobile phones that can capture images, auto-detect parts of an image in order to flatten and crop an image; large-scale photo processing; fast image processing and low-level optimizations.
